Good tips. Loved Calabria, Catania, Sicily close and best surprise of my life. Been Italy 11x and Southern Italy is lovely and different from Rome, Milan, Florence. Google best Gelato, on water, best Ive had, line at all times. Shes right about hours, eat lunch and dinner will be 7 at earliest.

My parents are Calabrese. Growing up I would spend whole summers there. You are deadright that between noon and 5 everyone's either asleep at the beach or asleep in there homes. They call it the mezzogiornio region for a reason. Its so hot and after eating a big pasta lunch youd just want to be in the shade snoozing. hardist thing was always adjusting back to american life having to get up go to school. Stay awake at school past 1 pm...lol
