How to Check Crankshaft End Play With a Dial Gauge

The process of checking end play is the same on most engines.

Nice. I was gonna do it with feeler gauges but I figured the $35 was worth it, plus the earlier you invest in a tool the more you get your money’s worth.

Now’s to hoping the block’s not cracked because there was a bit of non 50/50 mix in it over a winter.

Looks so much more easier ! We used feeler gauges what seems like a thousand yrs ago. So many changes & new improvements I feel like, really, Old ! Take care & B safe ! !
