Because stuff is too
Edit: look at how low wages are vs housing costs for example

Seems also like there’s another compounding factor of “puberty blockers” with resultant sterilization coming (not to mention surgical sterilizations…)

If the politicians didn’t spend the retirement money that wasn’t theirs to spend….

The real question is why are poor people having kids they can’t afford and rich people not having any to begin with

Look around, who’s want to bring a child into the world with all this nonsense. My offspring don’t deserve to be raised in a society like this.

The legal structure and economic structure is not conducive to have kids.

If only we didn't have to fund endless wars to launder money for the elites, maybe we could invest in our own country enough to make having children less of a burden :/
My husband and I only have one baby and it's so difficult, I can't imagine doing this again. The lack of support systems, community, and even just encouragement from my elders has been a shocking disappointment.

No worries we just let 7 million walk across the southern border for a total of 22 million

You can blame the corrupt politicians for making a living hell of middle/working class law-abiding citizens with their economic policies as well as enabling the dating market to be loaded with so many unrealistic expectations people, especially men, are no longer interested in relationships of any kind, let alone kids.

Single 26 year old male here. Personally, seeing how dates have been going since I started dating at the age of 19, I can't help but feel women are out to take advantage of men financially and emotionally. Ive given every woman I've ever loved my al, only to be dumped, and minor dates usually end in me giving them a free dinner. All the single moms I've talked to, most have told me "they don't need no man" yet talk about how nice it would be if they had a dad to raise their kid.

Even if I did have a wife, it is very hard for me to raise a kid in this economy, and I don't want my kid to be raised by some teacher at some school or daycare.

I'm a firefighter making good money, prior military, 2 associates degrees. Overall I consider myself a loving, educated, hard working man, yet can't maintain a relationship. I'm kind of done at this point

Because our generation prioritizes comfort/laziness and material things above all else. Which is hard to do when trying to raise kids, we have a priority problem.

If they had left the Social Security alone back when it was created, it would be able to take care of itself, even through an economic low, like a two to one. But no. The government had to keep taking from it because they wanted to.

Not having babies because everything costs more but pay remains low in comparison.

It's the sad shift in priorities amounts young people. Promiscuity and a lack of God in their lives leads to less families.

Social Security was implemented to be temporary, it was never the case to become a persons retirement fund. Every person should be given financial education as a school student and throughout their adolescent years. If you want to fix SS now that it’s so reliant upon and can’t get rid of it, run it like a 401K, stop stealing money from it for other social programs, and get rid of other useless government programs and fund this one.

This problem cures itself by creating chaos and misery. People suffer and die; the next generation learns the lesson and a new cycle begins.

Divorce rates and Child support , no thanks

Well, when they set the retirement age at 65, the average person lived to be 65. Now, the retirement age is 67, but the average person makes it to about 80. So a lack of babies isn't the only issue.
