I used to be a manager for Walmart. When I took over a new store, I started bringing donut holes to the payday Friday meeting. Everyone was thrilled. 3 years later I was bringing whole donuts and listening to people complain that I got the wrong flavors.

Better than being 1 person trying to do the work of 3 people on a permanent basis at much less income. Burnout city. We pay for our coffee and bottled water, no 401K match. But a stable job. No sympathy for those who get let go for doing not a darn thing.

I worked for a subcontractor under another contractor under Facebook. The pay sucked and there were no benefits unless you actually worked for meta. It was so hard to get converted and the job was horrible. They ended up getting sued due to the trauma of reviewing content.

This is how I felt at my last role. Work wasn't distributed to me but was to others (although I voiced my concerns, but was told not to worry). I foresaw being let go a mile away.

My last full time job was federal. They eliminated my dept and put me in another where there was more employees than work. I was paid $24 per hr to appear to be awake. I was glad to be able to retire even though I missed the money. The retirement was mandatory however due to being a military National Guard technician

If I had a 200k job (doing nothing but sitting around) I think I wouldn't enjoy it too much, I'd be waiting for the axe to fall. I would never feel secure in my job.

Just ran some numbers, after taxes if you can pay 200 you're taking home around 150. So what if you don't get free laundry and some extra snacks, get a maid for the laundry bring your own snacks. You make 150 k.
