Here's a video on why Capitalism sucks, essentially. It's a basic, general overview for all the new subs (welcome all of you!) as to why Capitalism is an untenable system because of the intrinsic flaws it possesses. about part 5. As a Disabled Person I find it important to also look at "who" defines "what" merit is. Historically the capitalist definition of merit has often lead to disenfranchisement and alienation to those who can met these definitions. This has also played into the hands of Fascists which furthered both groups goals and leads to immerse suffering. Even outside of Fascisms it forces millions to experience physical and metal struggles, causes lifelong self-worth issues and empowers groups seeking harm instead of solidarity.

I think the word "meritocracy" was born of satire. It was never meant to be used literally, to my knowledge. And indeed it can't be.
