◼︎Welcome to my latest adventure! Join me as I explore the enchanting Zhujiajiao Water Town, often dubbed as the "Venice of Shanghai". In this video, I had the incredible opportunity to immerse myself in the rich culture and picturesque landscapes of this historic water town.

From wandering through narrow alleyways lined with traditional architecture to gliding along serene canals on a traditional boat, every moment spent in Zhujiajiao was nothing short of magical. But what truly made this experience unforgettable was the warm hospitality and genuine connection I shared with the locals.

One particularly memorable encounter was when a friendly local took me under his wing and offered to guide me through the hidden gems of the town. Even with the language barrier, we still got to communicate and have a great time in the town.

Through this video, I aim to showcase a side of China that often goes unnoticed - the authentic charm and hospitality of its people. Beyond the bustling metropolises and iconic landmarks, there lies a world of hidden treasures waiting to be discovered.

So come along on this journey with me as I invite you to witness the beauty and warmth of Zhujiajiao Water Town. Get ready to be captivated by its timeless allure and the genuine hospitality of its inhabitants. This is a side of China that truly deserves to be seen and appreciated by the world.

The one the artist gave you is called "紫砂壶", which is specially used to make tea and is very expensive in China

I saw your video on BILIBILI. We like your video very much and your polite and friendly attitude. The first video has more than 500, 000 views. Seeing your expression at the door of the hotel prompted a lot of comments, we all thought you were a lovely person and you brought so much joy to us. Chinese people are very welcoming and foreign tourists are often intimidated. Chinese people like to treat others to dinner and buy a bunch of gifts for their friends. This is a Chinese tradition. Don’t forget to return the gift, otherwise it will leave a bad impression. Of course, if you buy a boat ticket, it is also considered a gift. If you hesitate for a few seconds, the uncle will buy a boat ticket for you, so you lose the opportunity to give a gift in return. If you live in China for a long time, you will be surprised how several Chinese people rush to pay the bill and it looks like a fight. The uncle in the video was worried that you had no place to stay, so he took you to the hotel. He is worried about leaving a bad impression on you, so he takes the initiative to take you on a trip as compensation for you. Of course, as a tourist, you should be wary. Some Chinese will take you to a hotel or bar and make you pay a high bill, so be wary. Your politeness has exchanged for the friendliness of the Chinese people, who will treat every friendly foreign friend kindly. Many Chinese people have left comments. They want to treat you to dinner and buy many gifts for you.

Ohh man, That purple clay teapot is a gem, a real treasure. If you ain't grasping its value, don't even think about selling it off. Treat it like a collector's item, I'm from Shanghai.

Extremely friendly people. Dude you have iron balls. I am an African and I wouldn't do what you do for million bucks. That Chinese man is a great China ambassador. This is pure humanity where black man has no problem communicating with a Chinese man with out a language...beautiful.

There are many foreigners visiting China recently, but few are as polite and kind as you, who have done so much preparation in advance and avoided a lot of unnecessary trouble. This episode got 100, 000 views and 2, 000 likes in China, and a lot of people are saying that you changed their image of black people. Looking forward to coming back to China again, if you want to see the natural scenery, you can choose Zhangjiajie or Guilin, if you want to visit the places of interest, maybe Beijing. Guangzhou and Shenzhen are very close, two modern mega-cities in the south of China. Chengdu is also a good choice, with lots of spicy food and pandas❤

I am originally from Shanghai. I really like your experience in Shanghai. It is so funny so cute and full of joy. I am so happy to see the nice connection between people. Abin is such a nice guy that fully expresses the hospitability of Chinese. You bought the boat ticket and he bought you 雪花酥candy as a gift. That is we, chinese like to 礼尚往来。

As a Chinese, i guess the warmhearted Uncle saw you at the station and thought you are an African from a poor country. And he said to you:" Have you eaten ?" (A common greeting in Chinese)
He's worry about you that you don't have an accommodation because some lodges in China couldn't register foreigners, so he was intend to help you with accommodation at his Hotel.
I understand why is that concerns you a little bit due to the language barrier.
And then he show you around at Town as somehow feels like his Duty to protect you, because you know Zhujiajiao is a touristy places, and some vendor Might scams you as you don't speak Mandarin.
Anyway, my shoutout to you all, for embrace strangers with kindness even with the language barrier.
I am from Bilibili videos, because Youtube is banned in China. Some uploader transfer Youtube Videos to Bilibili Platform for non-profit purpose, and on behalf the viewers from Bilibili, can't wait to see you traveling again in China.

When you were going down the stairs in the room, the dude was praising you to his friends for your adventurous spirit for traveling around the world, lol. To be honest, you are the lucky one. You know, if I meet strangers when traveling, I will be a little uneasy and wary, because there are always unexpected tourist traps. Maybe your kindness touched other people, and they responded with the same kindness to you. ❤
