The road has not been easy for “Dance Mom’s” star Abby Lee Miller. After completing her prison sentence last year, the famed dance instructor was diagnosed with non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma. Fun fact about Brooke, she graduated college in three years with TWO degrees. She took AP classes while working on the show. She’s incredibly smart and despite Abby’s best efforts to make these kids look uneducated and lazy, they’re incredibly hard working. The moms and kids are still friends, all of them cut contact with Abby for a reason.

I think this is one time Abby did have a point, although her execution was terrible as usual. There is a commitment to the team at the beginning of each season. It’s unfair to the group to just drop it and do your own thing, especially when you were at the top of the pyramid and someone else could’ve gotten the spot.

I sadly agree with Abby in this instance. Brooke knew she didn't want to go to the competition and she should've said it at the beginning of the week. It does put a lot of unneeded stress on the other girls who have to work harder and compensate for her absence. I think she should 100% be allowed to do the cheerleading if that is what she wanted, but she should've said something sooner for the sake of the other girls at least.

Abby always tells the girls that they are replaceable, so replace her then. She wants to do cheer because she wants to see what it's like and may be she won't be put down by her coach like she's put down by Abby.
