So i have this idea. It comes in two parts: First, every polynomial p is represented by a (potentially) infinite dimensional vector. The first element has index 0, and the index represents the power of x that the number within multiplies. Second, a function A(v) converts a polynomial into a lower-triangular square toeplitz matrix, with the leftmost column being identical to the input vector. The product A(u) * v = w is equivalent to the polynomials represented by u and v being multiplied to equal the polynomial represented by w. An pseudo-inverse to the matrix A would certainly be interesting to see in general (a true inverse doesn't work if the vector u has no 'constant' term)
