Fun fact: It was originally intended for all six original guests to be directly influenced by the seven deadly sins, with Stauf himself being influenced by "Pride" since Pride is the father of all sins.

In this case, Elinor would symbolized "Greed" because her wish is for high-class society and having more money than she knows what to do with it. Also, the reason why she and Edward are in so much debt is because Elinor insists on spending more than they really have etc.
