This is a remarkably well-balanced and sane video and I will make sure anyone who plans on visiting me here in Budapest sees it before they arrive. You should be considered a National Treasure.

As a local, I can confirm this video is spot on. Everything a visitor needs to know about Budapest. (However, I think the Parliament building is the best sight in the city).

I’m living in Kyiv and i’d like to mention that people in Budapest seemed to me very nice and polite. I was really surprised when people was smiling to me at shops or streets. It’s not a common thing to us Ukrainian. So yeah i was charmed by the city and people as well.
Thank you for your videos. They are so useful and inspirational!❤️

I lived in Budapest for 3 years at the end of the 90's and it was absolutely fantastic. I had an apartment just of Vaci Ut at the Erzsebet Bridge end, just behind the Marriot. I cried like a baby on the plane when I left for the last time. I have such wonderful memories. I do re-visit every few years though, so have seen many changes over the years from the 90's. ( i.e. it's SO expensive now ).

i was in hungary for about 2 months and had really good friends and people to teach me about hungary and hungarians. Theres still so much I dont know, and maybe will never be able to fully understand, but one thing i came to understand and love/respect is the pride hungarians have for being...hungarian. The language, their values and their true history, teaching foreigners about their towns (I loved Vesprem and Györ especially) and the ABSOLUTE patience with us, especially americans. It was hard for me asnan american to figure out how to be mellow on public transport and watch first, learn first and insert my opinion later; but I have to say that it was so beautiful. Hungary is full of strong, funny, widly diverse people who are so hospitable and kind, just jump in and be open to learning and being embarresed once in a while 😂 its so much more than budapest and goulash (though both are amazing ofc)

Talking from a perspective of someone that moved to Budapest 4 years ago from another country, this is the single best video about Budapest I have seen. Also the host seems really cool.

What a fun delivery style :D Thank you for the video! I definitely noticed the national pessimism after 5 years here 😅 But there are many upbeat personalities in the young generations, which looks promising ! I hope it stays that way past their youth 🙏
