Far Harbour is the best thing Bethesda has done in the last 10 years. It actually has atmosphere and a cohesive story and art design.

What frustrates me is that the Fallout IP wasnt even Bethesda's creation.

Now it's essentially being held hostage, there's endless potential but with Bethesda having it, we won't see anything substantial for many years..

And after those many years they have given us zero signs that they can make a successful modern game.

Honestly, the last Bethesda game I truly enjoyed was Skyrim, which came out in 2011.

I heard Starfield only has 12 unique dungeon layouts. It should be 100s. Thats what they should be using procedural generation for. Instead whats there is a tenth the size of the other bethesda games

Its not even a question.. they should've been working on Elder Scrolls 6 this entire time since release. on a new engine aswell.

The lack of vision, heart and soul is very apparent when you play Starfield. I feel like so much of the game was built around giving off an illusion of a huge open world. That illusion becomes very obvious about 10-20 hours in.

If they abandon Star field, it shows us they won't back their products, so neither will

The idea of enormous space-games is always better than the actual reality of them

Again, as a concept, Starfield had SO much potential, and yet compared to Bethesda's previous titles, it is incredibly sanitized and politically correct to a point that it seems clinically Soulless.

The game needs a full remake, the story is bad, the setting is bad and that's not even including all the other swats of issues. The concept had potential, it just stumbled on every step along the way.

It's really this simple: how feasible is a Cyberpunk-level rework for Starfield? Can they realistically lower the loading screen timers AND cut down loading screens? Can they overhaul the game mechanics to be more fluid (and in some cases ON PAR WITH FALLOUT 4) and procedural generation to feel fun and exciting to explore these planets? Can they make a DLC that brings a story compelling enough to compete with the GOTY writing we've seen the last year or so of Phantom Liberty, BG3, etc? If the engine keeps them from fixing the core problems, then move on. Put that time into another game or making the game engine capable of making a next gen title.

I would love it if they actually added some exploration in the space sections. Add some jump gates between planets (like Freelancer) that allow manual travel, where you can exit out and explore spaces, find shit between planets, get ambushed along the way. It’s called Star FIELD. Where’s the field? All we get is a tiny box to pretend you’re flying around in above planet orbit.

Fallout 4 was my Starfield lmao. I think that was the first time I ever had buyers remorse lol I was 17 when FO4 came out. I went to the midnight launch and everything. Lets just say I had FONV 2.0 in my head and I was severely disappointed.

17:22 right? Like what's going on in that studio?

Starfield had a similar budget and development time as Red Dead Redemption 2. The game we got was a disgrace. Really what that told me is that Bethesda is clunky, slow to build anything, and incredibly wasteful with their budget.

Id rather them make more dlcs for skyrim and fallout than starfield those games could have been even more timeless than they are.

81 volunteers are working on skyblivion (full remake of oblivion in skyrim engine), most of them do it on the side on top of their job. If they manage to release it next year it would have taken them 13 years. According to an ex BGS employee at least 500 worked on Starfield. Their is clearly bloat or missmanagement they have to dump their engine or fix it and then split teams. It's not like their games have massive ammount of content, it seem like with every iteration there less and less possibility and RPG element anyway.

I'm one of the weirdos that really enjoyed Starfield! I think it helped that I already thought of their games as gaming junkfood and went in with extremely accurate expectations, not a single surprising thing, but it was also very comfortable at a time when I needed to switch off my brain whilst not doing IRL stuff. Basically the best 6/10 game I've sunk time into. There is A LOT riding on the Shattered Space expansion, they need to do something to make this new universe interesting outside of weirdness in NG+

Rockstar at least innovate with every iteration of GTA they release. The gap is always understandable but with Bethesda and Starfield? Being Innovative?
They have no excuse.
