The Necessity of the Covenant of Works

Jim Cassidy demonstrates how denying the covenant of works imperils the doctrine of justification by faith alone. In the covenant of works, Adam was given the law of God as the means to reach his eschatological goal. After Adam's fall into sin, man can no longer attain his reward by his own obedience but must look by faith alone to the second Adam who has fulfilled all righteousness in his stead.

And sure enough there are some BIG names who quietly deny the covenant of works who also have major errors in their view of justification and "final salvation".

Terribly sad that many Christians don't understand. The entire system of OT Laws always lead to Condemnation of Sins. Which means the Death Sentence. The only escape from the horrific reality of The Law of Sin = Death is Faith & Obedience to Jesus Christ (not Moses). Jesus saved us from our sins AND the entire system of law for sinners. For those who are born again of the Spirit & led by the Spirit (not the flesh). Bible says The Just(ified) shall live by FAITH (God's Grace). But the unrighteous shall live by the law & be judged by the Law (Sin = Death). Many Christians are double yoked bc they don't understand that the new covenant replaced the old covenant. So they try to follow 10 Commandments (why not 613?) & everything Jesus commanded. But bc Moses had a list of 10 & Jesus didn't make a list, they focus more on Mosaic 10 abbreviated laws. Not knowing they are voiding the Grace offered by their Faith in Christ & His Blood & every word He said was a commandment. The Words of the Living God.
