Beating Sifu Demo As An Old Man (Age 75, No Death Run)

I beat the Sifu demo as an old man. Of course I wasn't allowed to die since dying as an old man in Sifu means you won't be able to respawn so this is also a no death run. When you age in Sifu you gain more damage but lose health as a consequence, that's why playing as an old man, intentional or not makes the game more risky but lets you take out some enemies much easier.

Sifu is a martial arts video game inspired by Pak Mei Kung Fu developed by the Absolver developers SloClap. Sifu is set to release 8th February on Epic Games, PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5. The developers were kind enough to give some content creators keys to the demo.

The fact that you 'discover' mini-bosses among the general adds is a super underrated touch. You find the guy who has actually been working on his technique and you treat him as a higher threat level. Love that.

Batman: I trained my body to be a terrifying force to be reckoned with.

Si Fu: I died ten times to be a terrifying force to be reckoned with.

This style of game would be perfect for a daredevil game. Not the whole aging thing but the whole fighting style

Imagine you're minding your business. Just doing your job as a receptionist when some old kung fu master looking dude walks in. You ask him what he wants and he immediately jumps over the counter and starts beating the crap outta you.

Sifu is one of the few forms of media that makes becoming old look genuinely cool.

Basically, becoming an old man in Sifu is like becoming a strong ass old person in One Piece…or any anime for that matter.

It’s cool to see how much you’ve improved on the combat

The fighting at 2:08 was so satisfying, both are dodging fast attacks and moving around so elegantly. Lowkey feels like I was watching a scene from Shang-Chi but in video game form

Love to see someone actually mastering the combat

Most favorite moment of the video for me is the ending room. You taking out those youths without effort and only having to put in a few with the last person just screams Hollywood Martial Arts in stereo for me.

This reminds me of absolver but the dodging and combat looks like it works far better in this already

This game would be perfect if they added a theater or replay type of cinematic mode

That thing Justas noticed about the death counter going down is interesting.

Possibly it is a mechanic to reward you for doing well by aging you less when you die? Or maybe somehow de-age you? I have no idea but I find it interesting nonetheless.

Great video by the way! Always enjoy watching Justas kick ass in this game. :)

i actually think its possible for you to do this with no damage run as well. you hardly took much hits. This game does look damn amazing too.

Holy shit. You improved so much in the past few days!

Before you just kept backing out and using weapons, and avoided the last room. Now you just full front on assault and smash them from up close dead center! It's so badass.

Tbh you looks like you're better at this game than Absolver ironically, no offense.

Dude, shout out for being the ONLY person I've seen play this preview build and use that Invert Throw move! In a totally practical way!

You've clearly put the time in to learn the existing move list. It shows in the gameplay, and watching you tear this run up gets me even more excited for the game to release! God, I can't wait to play this and get this good.
