Great video to keep on hand! Thanks for the clarity and no extra discussion. 😉I made notes and remember it this way with these scenarios: M1R is “ I’ll be RIGHT BACK”( come in the back door); M1L is “ I LEFT something, so I’ll just run in the FRONT DOOR to get it.” Silly, but I’ve used these little ways for study helps all my life and taught my students my silly ways, but they have served me well all these years. Hope it helps! 🍀😉🌻

I have watched and subscribed to many knitting channels. Yours is by far the clearest and most easy to understand. Thanks so much for your thoughtful work!

Thank you, Jana, for the very clear instruction and clarification! I have been knitting for a long time and never knew to look at how the the picked-up bar was slanting on the left needle. Fantastic! It goes to show, “you CAN teach an old dog new tricks”!

Jana, thank you so much! I really like how you explain why and how the techniques are done specific ways! You are my go to expert from here on out. I enjoy your KALs as well and your real down to earth approach. I know I'm just one of many to you, but for me, you are a friendly fellow knitting mentor 🙂 Thank you and God bless.

Hi, Jana! Nice video...! Another way I learned how to properly perform the M1L vs M1R is the phrase “I’ll be RIGHT BACK”. Meaning, to perform the M1R, you pick up the bar between the stitches from the back. Of course, you do the opposite with the M1L...! Looking at the slant of the stitch on the left needle after picking up the “bar” is a great visual cue, though. I appreciate you sharing that with us! Take care...!

Great Instruction! Thank you for posting all of these excellent instructional videos.

Query: do you have a video yet on how to read charts? I am old school, learned from my great grandmother. Book instruction on chart reading throws me for a loop!

Thanks again! Subscribed to your channel!

You have a great way of explaining all the “ how-to’s”, my question in a bit off the subject, still knitting. I use interchangeable needles, all kinds- different brands. I need a way to store them straight, know I have them coiled up & is a royal pain to straighten them & keep them straight. I searched on Pinterest, no luck. Thought you might have a remedy.
Thanks, Carol
