Renovate with me in Italy! Which Italian property would you choose? All under €50k

Property hunting on behalf of my sister-in-law! It's way less stressful doing this for someone else rather than doing it for yourself. The 1 dollar house in Italy renovation project is everyone's dream. But what about under €50k?

After our 2022 wedding on Lago d'Iseo, my sister-in-law became interested in buying a property nearby. Since she lives overseas, we viewed three apartments on her behalf.

Property 1 (€45,000 / $45,000)
Located centrally in Marone, a town with great amenities, this small former office could easily be converted into a studio apartment. It’s in good condition, move-in ready, and offers a pleasant porch view.

Property 2 (€49,000 / $53,500)
In picturesque Lovere, known as one of Italy’s most beautiful towns, this older property features a large living area, with the potential to convert it into a three-bedroom by connecting rooms. However, it lacks convenient train access and has an external bathroom.

Property 3 (€39,000 / $43,600)
This property, which my sister-in-law ultimately purchased, features a quirky layout with external stairs to the kitchen and a backyard bathroom. Despite needing renovations, its spacious design and stunning lake-view backyard made it a standout choice.
