The amount of r*pe and death threats I got by playing Mercy years ago made me never speak in games again.
I played Medic in TF2 (because no one else usually did lmao) so transitioning to Mercy was easy and fun with the movement.
People are so disgusting. They treat you like trash when you play her more than any other character.

The reason battle mercy works if you do it well is the other team's tilting. If a mercy gets a 5k against my team, I'm on the verge of rage quitting. But it's not for everyone, my aim could never get a team wipe on mercy.

i appreciate the highlight on talking about how people assume mercy players are women, which gives them a reason to shit on them, or make more offensive assumptions. with overwatch being one of the more popular fps games, it made it really hard to escape sexism in the game, so anytime a big streamer talks about it, or experiences it themselves, it makes mercy players, like myself, appreciate the support and understanding of how frustrating it can be to be a female mercy player. amazing video as always bogur ❤️❤️

Skiesti's answer about why she likes Mercy perfectly encapsules how I feel when playing her. It feels like a chess match, and Mercy is the king. The enemy will put very high priority on trying to take out the "king", and if they do, you will (probably) lose the team fight. Also Mercy will try to work with her other "chess pieces" to take out the other enemy pieces, making tactical sacrifices when needed to win the team fight. There is also the fact that she is very defenseless in 1v1, so just like the king in chess, she needs to think ahead, and use her stronger pieces to form a line of defense. Just like chess, it's important for her to invest in her pieces that have the best positioning on the board. She needs to do this both so that she doesn't die, and to enable her pieces to take the enemy pieces.

As a guy who used to main Mercy in the past (I'm part of the Lucio Mafia now) I always hate how some people treat Mercy players and the community. They make the assumption that because you play Mercy you must be a girl or gay (Samito seems to believe that too) and you get a lot more toxicity or creepy interactions with people in-game or online.
So maybe think twice before you flame a Mercy player.
