The burn advice is spot on.. room temp water is important. cold is too much of a shock, I'm a chef and get burned a lot, and yeah, do not let it dry out.. I just said what he did.. but it's good advice.

You should've added.... Don't ever put butter on a burn because it will make the burn worse. Oddly, mustard helps soothe a burn.

Also Toothpaste! It’s the best especially ones that have mint in it because it provides a cooling effect for the burn. It also keeps it protected when the toothpaste’s top layer hardens.

Room temperature water can cause blisters, it needs to be body temperature or above water. The best thing to do with a burn to avoid blistering is immediately apply pressure to it with your hand; the goal is to regulate the heat. Give it a couple of minutes and once the initial sting subsides then you can remove your hand

Another tip for if you get to take away the majority of the pain, put yellow mustard on it.

My husband was boiling some water and accidentally knocked it over. He ended up spilling the boiling water all over his left leg and arm. The yellow mustard trick is the only thing wr found that worked.

room temp water is for after the burn sets in, if you can get to it really fast (like within seconds) with something really cold (like ice water or a bag of frozen peas) you can actually lessen and sometimes negate the damage.

For the burn, for those who use the metric system here your best reminder, 3 15, 15 minutes under 15°c water at 15 centimeters of the hose, and then always get a little stock of Biafine it's pretty good for burning, and use a tulegras (it's the french name but basically it's a greased bandage) and here you reduce most of your burning, it worked on my sister's oil burn (yes she burn herself with boiling oil, on the leg and it wasn't a smal burn but she completely heal)

Aloe! Best way is to have one in your house. Vaseline is too thick and holds the heat in.

You can also put silvercilin on it twice, once for the initial and once again prob like 15-20 mins after the initial dries, it will be good within the hour
