Brady didn't play as a rookie..neither did Joe Montana or Patrick Mahomes. Jalen Hurts, Lamar Jackson, Joe Burrow, Brock Purdy, Josh Allen...Alll didn't start MOST of their rookie seasons

What brady meant was that the defense is now soft, there's no hands after 5yrds, you can do across the middle easy and not get tiuched or lit up, the QB can barely get hit now, it's much easier and softer. That's what he means. And i agree. It's easier and dumbed down for this gen of QB

Tim literally proved Tom’s point. The patriots were a run first offense because Tom was not capable of leading a pass first offense yet. They phased to a passing game when Tom was capable of handling that. Putting rookies into a pass first offense that just a few plays is exactly his point. You can open up the playbook over the season with a run first offense, giving you time to learn and study how defenses act in the NFL.

Tom is 100% right and he never said that the players are dumber. The league is far more qb friendly than it used to be. And very smart offensive coordinators have made it so that the only thing a quarterback need to do to be successful is recognized man or zone and be accurate and on-time with your passes.
