Instead of dish soap, use an emulsified oil face cleanser. The cheap and easy one I get is Palmer’s Oil Cleaner for about $10 US, and you just squeeze a few pumps on the blender and rub and rinse a couple times, as needed.

Putting dish soap in the sponge puts dish soap on your face and in your makeup and it’s not good for either. A facial cleanser is a safe bet even if it’s not your absolute favorite because it’s still designed for the face.

Just use regular soap guys. Keep on rotating the sponge against the soap under running water and keep on squeezing the sponge in between and it will be clean within minutes, almost like new sponge. ( If you clean it well)🙂

As a beauty therapist in training please don't put your beauty blender in the microwave, it already is a perfect environment for bacteria to grow inside the sponge don't speed up the process. just squeeze it under running water with soap till it runs clear then let in dry in a clean environment, this is a recipe for breakouts

Before the tutorial my beauty blenders were so small and after I did the cleaning tutorial, it made them look like fat marshmallows. Even when I squeezed the left over dirty foundation and all the water out. But it still cleaned the entire sponge so it really helped

I just use Dove solid soap and it cleaning it perfectly plus it's not drying the sponge. Other soaps I tried were drying it and the sponge would usually break

I kinda understand why you would want to clean your beauty blender with dish soap because dish soap takes off the oils and grease from the dishes and it can do the same for the sponge but I'm not sure that using soap that is made for dishes is the safest thing it could cause damage on the face by causing a allergic reaction or might burn the skin there are so many things that make this dangerous

Use baby wash. It won’t leave anything that will irritate your skin on the sponge when your done.
