do NOT use dish soap!!! it’s terrible for your face. there WILL be residue. Use either a gentle body wash or a face wash/ cleanser

OMG I did it and the beauty blender before looked like straight up like dirty foundation and when I did this it had a whole glow up still can't believe it was orange after doing all of this this is a literal life hack thx for saying this it helps a lot

i shave dove sensitive soap and mix it in the water instead of dish soap, dish soap helps but it will cause skin problems in the long run

Use facial cleanser, except for dish soap it will work perfectly fine. It might be even better if you use make up removing facial cleanser

OR USE FACE WASH BECAUSE YOU DONT WANT TO PUT DISH SOAP ON YOUR SPONGE!!!

i tried this with a cleanser first, but it didnt remove all the dirt from the sponge. then i tried with a dish soap, and it made it look brand new

I have a beauty blender and Im using warm water, not hot, but warm water and a bar of Dove soap is all ive ever used to clean make up brushes and sponges.

This works! Except i did not use dish soap...DONT, i used baby wash and some makeup brush cleaner

Note: this method, while effective in killing bacteria, also breaks down the sponge faster....and you may end up deciding to just buy a new one 😅

Microwave will somewhat kill the bacteria, but it won’t clean the sponge .
