All this talk of Ray-tracing and graphical enhancements mean nothing if we are still seeing 30fps graphics modes

when they say 2-4x faster RT performance. Do they mean there is a 2-4x reduction in the frametime cost of RT? because i dont know what this really means. 2-4x FPS dosent make sense at all so they need to be more specific

Triangle Pair might be the technology that allowing combine 2 triangles which have shared edge, into a pair(or a quad) and store them together, which can help the bandwith and improving the quality of the BVH trees.

I'll never understand why is PS5 Pro being kept on Zen 2? Why wouldn't they upgrade it to Zen4? It doesn't make sense to upgrade GPU to a whole new level, yet to keep an old Zen2 CPU

I’m not asking for that much from the pro but just enough to keep me happy. For example, if I could play avatar frontiers of pandora 40fps mode and it looked like the 30 fps fidelity mode I would be really pleased as a customer. The 40fps feels great IMO but the image clarity is still a little blurry and feels more like a game but the image clarity in 30fps fidelity is so sharp it feels like you are actually there in the world of pandora. To have acceptable smoothness with great image clarity would make me really pleased.

Once you have seen Cyberpunk PT 4K(with some mods) on a 4090, you will become a believer. Hopefully this changes the equation for hardware vendors when it comes to ray tracing, even nVidia is very conservative, back when Turing released someone took a die shot comparison and ray tracing cores take ~3% of die space.
