Just as a remidner what the $600 got you for a PS3 upon release. Native PS1, PS2 backwards compatibility, free online gaming, a DISC DRIVE, and a blueray player. And it still people pushed back against Sony and that forced them to lower the prices mere months after the release. People actually had a brain back then.

there isnt much credence to it but there is something incredibly funny to me that there is a rumor that they had originally planned for concord to be the showcase game for the pro. And the lack of good examples was due to them having to pivot quickly and select from games that had progress on the new hardware.

I wonder how they’d upgrade ASTRO BOT. Locked 4K60 with no DRS? The game looks so good on the base hardware, but cleaning up the image even more could bring it to CG movie levels.

Why can’t we have a majority of games running with the fidelity and performance at launch without weeks/months of patches like Spiderman 2 and Astro Bot (and even then, many still fall short). After that, the we can talk about needing a Pro.

It would've been nice if Sony rolled out a default update for all games to support an unlocked framerate for fidelity mode if VRR is enabled. And update VRR to support 40hz. It sucks updates are going to be a game by game basis.
