If the windows don't arrive soon, you could just paint scenic murals on the inside of OSB.

Jason gets the man code. You always make your friend look like a hero in front of his kids.
I see a lot of men trying to embrace other men in front of their kids. You have to put your friend on a pedestal in front of their kids.

For those backer boards, it's always nice if one guy takes a hammer and hits the screws a little into the board so they stay in position, then the other guy screws them all down. saves tons of time : )

Pro tip Eric, after rough in if you spray paint a dot on the unfinished floor where all the plug and switch boxes are then when you drywall you will know where the boxes are to rotozip.

Almost every job I wire there are boxes that the Sheetrock crew forgets…. And the best way to find them is to use a straight edge and hold it over the section of wall where you think it should be. The high spot is where you dig….. and use a hangar to poke the hole, as it’s easy to patch if you’re wrong.

When I was first introduced to hardie board it was their siding products and I was shown how to cut it with a grinder. Make sure to wear a mask 😂😂😂 best birthday ever

Y’all got to try using GoBoard instead of the cement board, just once. It weighs next to nothing (you can carry 4x8 sheets with two fingers), no cancer causing dust when you cut it, no special tools needed, and it cuts easier than drywall with just a knife. It’s a serious time saver. I highly recommend! Keep up the good work fellas!

We used to use a roofing nail gun to put down that thin hardie board

Watching your videos has inspired me to do a little bit of construction in my freetime. Currently sketching out a garden shed for my mom, then we're buying the materials tomorrow. Will definitely be keeping all your protips in mind when I get started!

That extra hole in Jaime's planer likely helps suction, due to bernoulli's principle

I sold lumber and trusses for 10 years and one of the most important lessons I can pass off is this: When providing a count for your doors, DO NOT USE TALLY MARKS. I had a simple house with maybe 13 doors total, used the tally marks, passed the notebook to my coordinator, he orders (111) RH 2/8x8/0 Masonite doors. They show up and then get delivered to the jobsite.
Try to imagine a 1200 sqft home receiving like 150 pre-hung units

Love you guys! Try using Schluter Ditra membrane instead of Hardie board. You will never go back.

Nice to see the house build going again! I’m sitting here at the Outer Banks a few hours away from you guys chilling out for the first time in MONTHS. We moved into our custom build on Thursday that we have been working on since October. Managed the whole build myself and did a pretty decent amount of work myself. Glad to be “done” with it. Notice the quotes on “done” 😉🤣🤣😂. You know what I’m talking about…
