A tip from a fellow WNC builder: put the bump stop high on the base board to allow a vacuum under it. 2:50

I live for the labor pains. It makes me feel alive! Excellent video. Ok I got to get back to laboring. Take care!

Pro tip. Put painter's tap on round door knobs. Start screw, then pull knob away from door. All the angle you need. Tape is extra security. Remove tape, use same piece of tape on the next door.

Please!!! Keep showing the “Pains of labor”. That’s real. No job goes perfect. I enjoy seeing problems pop up and how you and your team fix it. I also love seeing the comradery and the razing between guys. Before switching to commercial, My father did the same type of construction as you are. Every school holiday, spring-summer-Christmas breaks. I’d be on the job site working with him and his guys. Your show brings back a lot of good memories. Keep it up!

90% of those door knobs have a release latch that can be depressed to remove the large half of the handle. You can then use a drill or screwdriver to get straight on the screws without damaging the handles.

As a retired carpenter, you’ll have to excuse me for skipping through the door knob ‘lesson’.
Love your work 👍

I like seeing the labor pains, BUT it would also be nice to see the baby as well. You guys do some amazing work… It just sad that you don’t show-off the finish product… Showing your skill, as evidenced by your work, is YOUR BEST ADVERTISEMENT.

Been missing the “Cardinal Coffee” callout in the intro!

@5:00… A possible solution to prevent scratching a knob is to put a piece (eg. 1’) electrical shrink wrap on your screwdriver.

Those door strikes has an ear so if the door has some play to shut tight, I hit that with the hammer to stretch it out and it always works.

Yes it is the labor pains and all the ways you find to get past the struggles and get it looking awesome! And if that wasn’t enough you all make it look fun!

Paint the chimney breast the grey of the fireplace stonework but a little lighter. That would look strong and won't be competing with the wood 'browns'.
