In full retirement mode now, I watch and follow a number of channels that have significantly more subscribers but PBB is by far and away YouTube’s best kept secret. PBB drips with genuineness and that is what most influencers miss the mark on. Great product guys!!

As a painter, what we do when cutting in the edge between the ceiling and the wall is use a long drywall taping knife (?). Hold it firm in the groove and with a not too soaked brush we create the color line, then use a small roller to even it out. After that the walls get done with the big roller. Saves time, just make sure to clean the edge of the knife each time you're gonna put it against the wall and wash it thoroughly when done.

Hi Erik …. You know I love the editing and that b-roll action … you are doing a stellar job and noticed

Erik, my wife is an excellent painter and she recommends using a soft push broom to knock down the fluffy loose texture material first. Then go ahead and paint the ceiling. Great video.

Rays point, I was told that from a painting contractor. It works. I give Ray two thumbs up 🤙🤙

Very interesting, in 1998 (in Africa - South Africa) the group i was with that was assisting to paint this hexagon like shape wall (house of worship) and a white Canadian handy man was showing us this exact pencil trick. So this is interesting you guys are showing it here.

cardinal coffee....camels dont forget either. my theory is the larger the mammal or the longer the gestation the unforgettable the memory.
carolina has some beautiful green lush land and not many neighbors. i love it.

Another good pointer uncutting in especially on flat walls is the only time I use this method. Is if you get the bucket that holds a small 4 inch roller and a brush you cut in then you come back and back roll so you don’t see the brush marks on a slat wall. Looks very clean and professional at the end. And my favorite cutting brush is a clear cut made by Purdy 2 1/2 inch angled holds a lot of paint and coats and was very straight lines the bristles don’t go all over the place like a lot of other brushes do.

Hey Eric: Here is my "pro tip" we do when doing knock down ceilings. Use ceiling white paint to thin the mud you are spraying up!! It automatically seals the mud. BEST part of this PT is that the mud can be tinted as well. Then spray it up and knock down the peaks. If you are daring, you can PRE paint the sanded mud w/ a Blue tinted primer. Then do the white ceiling mud trick. Doing this knock down, make the ceiling look like a cloudy day!! #ProTip

100% on the flat paint it looks the best on walls for sure. I’ve always like to use Benjamin Moore flat aura. I know it’s pricy but you get what u pay for and the coverage is exceptional 👍

An actual awesome pro tip for corners is this: use your painters caulking and caulk every location where a wall meets a ceiling and in the corner of every wall. Make it a small caulking bead, and smooth it out after you apply the caulk using a wet finger. This makes it MUCH MUCH easier to create a sharp line between walls and ceiling and between walls that may have a color change. It will change your painting life!

Nice Pro tip Ray...two things, 1st of coarse it making "the cut" (double entendre). 2nd You and Jay will always be "The Painters" on a Perkins home that's not a bad position or thing to be saddled with💯💯👍

Just use a 5and1pull the sharp edge into the corner it creates a line that paint can run into hold it at 45degrees from wall and ceiling was showed this when everyone was shooting popcorn texture you can use this around door casing

a big tip from painting one of the most expensive houses in the near by cities, the owner had the painters paint the ceiling and walls the same color, so that he can have a perfect painting job, some people like it, some people don’t, but it saves time on cutting, a few clients have agreed to such a recommendation and we have filed through some painting projects that way
