“Sometimes college isn’t for everyone”
That…that really hit

Wow that is the most disrespectful rejection letter I’ve ever heard

"We hope you can understand our situation, if you can understand this letter at all."

Talk about insult to injury, god damn that was harsh

That has to be one of the most passive aggressive letters anyone has ever received. I mean ouch.

This scene actually explains a lot as to why Rigby never wanted to improve and became basically a free loader at the parker. Sure he was a slacker during high school but I think this letter really stopped him from really developing himself until he had his friends at the park that helped him onto the right path

Ouch, even Benson feels for Ribgy as well

Damn bruh, the VA for Rigby did a really good job on making him seem like he was on the verge of tears. And while the rejection letter is exaggerated as hell it conveys well what most people feel when they get them.

It is incredible the contrast between the three Mordecais: the past felt sorry for his own Rigby, the present one got really mad with his own one, and the future one was like "All this time I was mad at and resentful with him and I didn't understand how he must have felt after receiving such a terrible rejection letter".

Man that is the deepest part of the movie

Out of everyone's reaction, Benson's may have been the most impactful. Him and Rigby have treated each other like dirt over the years because one thought the other was too in on their feelings. But now after hearing that rejection letter, I have to believe that Benson saw Mordecai and Rigby in a different light he hadn't before. One lost their chance at a better life and the other wasnt even given that opportunity, thus why both are probrably as lazy as they are at work.

It’s one thing to get rejected, but getting humiliated is something else.

While it's easy to feel sympathy for Rigby for forging Mordecai's college rejection letter because he didn’t want to lose the only friend he has, *Mordecai still had every right to be mad at him for doing such a thing.*

I like Future Mordecai’s reaction to Rigby reading the letter. I bet that when he found out about the letter, there was no one to read it and he didn’t know what it said or how Rigby felt. Him hearing how depressed Rigby sounds from such a harsh letter must have put things into a new perspective.

I like to think that anyone who received a "Non Acceptance" letter for any college would feel better after watching this. I mean most colleges just keep the letter, short and simple, but these guys went out of their way to emphasize how much they didn't want Rigby be with them! You could start a forest fire with that burn!

While this was a sad scene and I did feel bad for Rigby, I was more fustrated at him. I know he's not stupid and could actually do the work at college if he just applied himself at high school in the first place.
His grades were not an indication of how smart he actually was in high school - he just goofed around too much.
But I'm glad the writers had him go back to school to get his high school diploma. Rigby's character arc in the show was really inspiring.

Man, Wiliam Slayers delivered the letter scene perfectly, the sound of his voice being hurt, reading it out loud to his friends and co workers knowing that there's no going back.

My issue about this was Rigby response to all this. I understand Rigby not wanting to lose Mordecai but it's how he did it that was the problem.

Seeing everyone feel so bad for Rigby while he just reads it as if he's read it so many times, man that hurts to see.

Man when Rigby reads the letter it felt so sad and heavy.
