My favourite G's are the GW-5610 and the DW-6900! The GBD-200 is a recently released Smart watch from Casio which can be paired with your phone using an app!

Connect the watch to the app, set it up and turn it on Airplane mode when you are done. When you need to use any of the smart features or sync the time, simply turn off Airplane mode and connect the watch. This works really well if you have multiple colors/watches that use this app. You only need to select the watch you want then turn off Airplane mode. Choose "Time Adjust" and then "Bluetooth" to reconnect watch.

You're spot on about this watch. I think if they add solar capability and maybe limit some of the smart functions, it would be a no-brainer for many people

Hands down the most entertaining watch review I've ever seen. Subbed. As for the GDB-200, I mostly love it from what I've read and seen here, BUT I'll wait for a solar version. Got a Casioak when they first came out and regret not waiting for the solar positive display version. The GDB like this, AND solar?....Heaven.

Yep, you expressed my thoughts exact: as soon as they release a solar powered version I'll get one. And I'll gladly pay an extra for atomic time instead of the "bluetoothy" stuff. But the show, Russel, is great as usual.

Just got mine - went the blue as well, absolutely LOVE it! Not bothered about all the sporty functions just wanted that amazing screen and super cool case - definitely a winner ! :)

This looks like a fantastic watch especially if you like to be more connected. Unfortunately I have a Coros Vertix 2 if I want connectivity and I use it for my daily 10k runs so I love it but won't be getting one.

Would definitely pick this up... if it were solar. I try to avoid smart watches at all costs, but this has just the very maximum amount of "smart" that I could deal with. Love the display. Add solar (with a similar price point) and I'm in!

Man, I love that high contrast display. I'm used to being frustrated with the reverse contrast LCD screen. I'd love to see that in the DW/GW5600. I don't want to pay the extra for the "Move" features in it.

Took it because of the MIP and step counter.Vibe alarm is a good addon.Hate the stopwatch, and the lack of hourly chime.Using it in airplane mode since I don't need any of the smartwatch functions.

so i just bought a gwm5610u for the first time. got it today in the mail. i’ve had the gbd200 for just over a year i think, with every feature on, notifications, vib, beep, auto light most nights. all these features have been on the entire time, for over a year and it’s still good. i’m trying to kill the battery just to see how long it will last. but now my new daily on my wrist is the 5610u, and it will be for some time 😏

So yes get the new Casio. I didn’t link it to my phone but I love the watch….
