What To Do AFTER Your Circumcision

After circumcision, patients may resume their usual sedentary activities but should not
engage in strenuous activity that causes pain or discomfort. It is appropriate to take a
shower two days after the procedure and then reapply a dressing. No swimming or
beach trips for two weeks. No sexual activity or masturbation is permitted for eight weeks
after circumcision. 

You will occasionally see a few drops of blood for the first two weeks.  Some men experience pain with erections at night for the first week, but this typically resolves after the first week. If sutures are required, they will absorb in a week or 2 and typically do not require removal. 

We usually see our patients a week or 2 after circumcision to check on their progress.

In the philippines we removed it after 1 day and clean it by using guava juice and we use its leaves since it removes uric acid and we would clean it 4x or 3x a day

Hello. i got my circumcision done. On my 8th day of recovery. I had a very severe phimosis which i never seen my glance in my life as the foreskin is never retracted back. In terms of pain it’s very mild. But i am very very hypersensitive in the glance whenever i feel a touch down there . Even a small touch is making me scream cuz that much low sensitivity. It’s really really unbearable and making me anxious. Can you please tell me how long will this last or take to come back to normal ?

Help, I’m on my first week and its still swollen and yesterday when I changed the bandage, I saw blood a little bit of blood. I got the skin glue method with mogen clamp. I can’t go back to the clinic because it’s in the city and I live very far away 😢

So the biggest misconception is that why are people circumcised it is because some teenage boys suffer from a condition called phimosis where the cant retract there foreskin back which affects there sex life and increases chances of penile infection, this is also a religious practice for muslims and jewish and are also practiced in tribes of kenya uganda and south africa. I am currently on my 4th week recovery, stitches are falling off and also the wound has healed, my problem is that the glans is too sensitive that I can't even wear shorts without any underwear because if I don't the penile will budge the clothing and it's so sensitive, i just wanna ask, how long does it take for this sensation to go away? Or like how long does it take for the glans to keratinize? Please someone respond...

the biggest issue for me right now is night erections, they're so painful and they keep opening the incision of where the skin was attached that is now cut, I don't know how to stop the erections it's a real nightmare

my circumsicion wasnt stitched, now it looks horribly wrong and I have like another layer of red skin like idk, under my actual skin, it smells, it produces a glue like substance that makes my hair down there stick to it and it started bleeding just now, its been 3 weeks since I got circumcised and Its such a hassle to take a bath and go to school because this little shit skin cant take soap water without burning like hell, standing up is a gamble if itll hurt or not, and I miss when I was uncircumcised and it didnt smell, it didnt hurt, I could run I could jump dance ride my bike and was just a happy kid, sleeping on my stomach side down, now I cant because if I do ill squeeze my weiner that looks like it got mauled by a bear and ill be in a world of hurt
