This element is the largest example of ‘because we can’

Due to how hard Oganesson is to contain (it's lifespan is like a few miliseconds), we practically know more about it from calculations and patterns that from actual experiments

Fun fact : oganesson has a price of $ 4 000, 000, 000, 000, 000, 000, 000, 000 per 2.205 lbs

I can not believe how Element 118 was still considered as unknown and we have finally given it a name

I like to think that oganesson is the fictional element "zeon" from the strategy game Master of Orion 2, because zeon was used to produce powerful missile warheads that didn't rely on nuclear reactions. What better element to do that than a transuranic noble gas? We have no idea how such an element might behave, maybe it has some really weird properties that make it a great explosive, paradoxically enough! Plus the name zeon sounds like a noble gas...

You said it doesn't exist on Earth. In fact, it doesn't exist in the Universe. There is no natural stellar process that could create it.

I remember reading from a source that I don't remember (XD), that, despite being from the noble gases group, it actually could make chemical bonds with other elements and be reactive unlike the other elements of its group.

I remember a scientist claimed to work for the us government had said that element 118 was solid? at room temperature and had gravitational properties. It was used as an energy source for gravitational propulsion for those extraterrestrial saucer ships. It was interesting to say the least.

Never expected oganesson to have such a dark history

Oganesson is a noble gas. Wouldn’t its only chemical property be not having them?

Imagine you are locked in a room full of radioactive gas.(Oganesson)
IMAGINE THE PRESSURE OF THE AIR EXERTED ON YOU. IT IS HEAVIER THAN METALS.

What about einsteinium, there are more than two elements named after people

Fun fact if you had a handful of it at the start of this video at the end you would have none. All decayed.

Edit: Actually if you had an ultramassive black hole worth of it every single atom of it would decay under 1/6 of a second. And you if you had 10^284Kg or 10^254 suns worth of it then when this entire video of 1min 13 seconds ends every single atom of it would be gone.

I am convinced that there's currently no Oganesson in the entire universe.

Edit2: Even if you had THE ENTIRE observable UNIVERSE'S MASS worth of Oganesson 2*10^53Kg it will all decay under half a second.

Interesting. That commentary voice is very familiar. Is this voice used on any other channels ?

Oganesson name is like Mitolojik name🙂

Every human being can produce their own individual non-noble gas, but no one dares tell anyone else about their ephemeral discovery!

It'll never have any use as the lifetime of an Oganesson atom is less than a second!

Anyone remember when it was still called Ununoctium? :P
