No Aven Interrupter love? I think that card is gas.

The only thing that might stop Vaultborn Tyrant from seeing play is the presence of Atraxa and Etali. They're the 7-mana payoffs that ramp decks are working towards, even pushing out Titan of Industry. And because we have *SO MANY* playable ways to reanimate, those cards even get jammed into decks outside of their colors.

But Vaultborn Tyrant is excellent value for 7 mana. And if you _did_ commit to it in a UGx ramp deck, it curves nicely into a Dopplegang for X=2. That's going to get you 6 Tyrant triggers, netting 6 cards and 18 life, on top of adding a pair of 6/6 tramplers and a couple of other permanents to the board.

Could also be good in BG with Greed's Gambit. Throw in some Worshop Warchief as well. Both of these creatures will gain life and/or draw cards up front. Then once you've exhausted the bats and have to sack one of them, they replace themselves.

Just a note on Another Round, you get 1 blink at 3 mana, 2 blinks for 5 mana, so on and so forth so I belive 3 mana for 1 blink is pretty hecking good, that’s all Love your work and opinions, keep it up

Hey Dev, I love your content man. I always look forward to what you have to say about a game I have been playing for years. The jokes and the vibe is chill and I learn a thing or two every now and then. My son loves your cats. Igbee ( hope I spelled it right) is hilarious. Keep up the great work and we will keep watching!!

I have a super jank Urabrask deck and have a penchant for spell slinging decks. I got unreasonably excited about slickshot.

I agree with your #1. UW control is already one of the best decks in standard, and as you pointed out they play some number of counterspells besides No More Lies. They also frequently play Deduce and or Quick Study for extra card advantage. Three Steps Ahead immediately replaces all of those cards. You're effectively upping the number of counterspells and card draw effects in your deck by playing a card that can do both. And though not at its best, even a control deck will get some use out of the "copy artifact or creature you control" mode. But it doesn't have to just go into control. Basically if your deck has any interest in counterspells, cloning, or card draw, Three Steps Ahead provides triple the value.

19:08 So, when I look at Gitrog and Honest Rutstein I see cards that are trying to make Golgari Fight Rigging more playable, if not on purpose, then incidentally. Gitrog with Shakedown Heavy (with or without a Fight Rigging in play) for example, is an excellent line; it would draw 6 cards by default and 7 if it has been buffed by Fight Rigging and it only cost you 3 mana. Gitrog also has 6 power, meaning it can activate Fight Rigging in a pinch. Also, Gitrog is a great card to hit with Fight Rigging. It just really fits into that deck well. Honest Rustein is a really good way to return key creatures for the Fight Rigging combo to your hand and it also has a pseudo-mana-dork ability, meaning it can kind of do an Undead Butler/Reclusive Taxidermist stand-in at the same time.

Awesome video! Really enjoying the content lately my dood! :D

I went to my first sealed event at my LGS and got two slickshot showoffs, one three steps ahead, one smuggler's surprise, and the orig reprinted oko in the 6 boosters in my prerelease box!!! Shoulda took first but took second because I lost oko to a self inflicted mill :.(

So Railway Brawler and Another Round go together pretty well. Today's prerelease I had them both, opponent thought they were safe because I played Bruiser late in the game then after combat flickered them to bulk them up.

Insidious roots puts counters on all plants, maybe a synergy with some of these green Plant creatures. Especially the one that doubles counters since your tokens can tap for mana

11:04 I think it’s awesome that Railway Brawler has a magic horseshoe flail.

So I think the thing you might be missing on tinybones joins up is that its a lot more like a kumano faces kakazan if your aggro deck is full of legends than a hopeless nightmare. Now, it's definitely got pluses and minuses compared to kumano, and if a Bx legends aggro deck doesn't shape up it won't really have that kind of home. But it's the sort of card that with a home, it will be very very good, with the etb discard making it function sorta like a cantrip rather than anything else. A cantrip that gives all your creatures etb ping 1 damage? That sounds great! And RB already has a ton of pushed, playable, aggro legendaries, not to mention the ones in Outlaws. There's maybe even a world where an aggro raffine deck could play it. Both strategies also have stuff like raffine or inti to mitigate the downside of a legendary permanent, too. So... we'll still have to see, but I do think it's a lot more than a hopeless nightmare in terms of application.

you know what Kambal is pointing at? Mondrak, he is pointing at Mondrak and saying "get over here"

This set may not be the most exciting set, tbh, but it is still wonderful to watch Dev talk about it.

I agree with Three Steps Ahead. I also thought it will be an automatic replacement for Dissipate.

27:35 I had this out with Terror of the Peaks while playing testing with friends. It was funny

Hollow Marauder looks pretty good for commander, and potentially eternal formats too since they can fill their graveyard fast. This can cost only one mana and make everyone discard a good card because if they don’t, you draw cards. And it’s a good flier like it was enough already. It’s like an almost strictly better Syphon Mind
