This is a vendor page for a sword, likely made by "Erik steelcrafts", also known as OTC

They formerly used to fill baulur arms contracts for KOA before being dropped for lying about their steel and making poor quality products.

Sharp swords are not safe to spar with. Do not spar with sharp swords. People die doing this.

and for good reason, the tang of one of my swords from the same manufacturer broke when the sword only fell on the carpet in my basement. Ok this can happen to all manufacturers but the way Erik Steelcrafts handled it was not professional at all. So yes very dangerous

I've been forging and handling sharp swords for over 30 years, and I've just started taking Iaido. I wouldn't feel ready to use a sharp shinken in personal training, even one of high quality, let alone doing anything with a partner.

Is it that hard to know your product? I’m way more forgiving to sellers that are international and don’t have English as their first language. This is just negligent behavior.

The list of Swordsmen killed or maimed messing around with live weapons is miles long and back when they were state of the art everyone knew someone who had died or lost pieces. 😢

You would think that it would be obvious that you shouldn’t hit your friend with a sharp weapon. That’s like me and my buddy putting on plate carriers and shooting at each other. Yes we have armor but people die while wearing armor all the time
