U.S. and European allies target Putin in new round of sanctions

On Friday, the U.S. announced it would sanction Russian President Vladimir Putin directly in a new round of economic sanctions. CBS News senior White House and political correspondent Ed O'Keefe joins CBS News anchor Lana Zak to discuss how these sanctions could affect Putin.

What the EU and US should know is Russia will not stop at Ukraine. I feel Poland is getting nervous as are other surrounding countries. No one is mentioning Belarus who is culpable for allowing Russia a northern path to attack Ukraine. Both countries should be held accountable and nothing short of military action will stop them. I get no one wants a war but what else are we to do? The UN Security Council made it clear to Russia and they know the world doesn’t want a world war. Sadly it’s probably gonna come to it

Putin's money and that of his cronies should be seized and given to Ukraine to fix and rebuild the damage caused through this war. I know it will not replace the lives lost but at least it will help with replacing the destroyed infrastructure.

Just stop all transactions and anything related to Putin. If he's got properties in America just close it down no matter if the properties and asset's are under his kids names it should may no difference. A clear message needs to be sent to Putin and the Kremlin non negotiable. There's no point in talking up sanctions if you're not seriously not going through with the ideas 😡
