Let's hope that Trump threatens to pull out of NATO if Europe doesn't go along with US sanctions against Iran. Then Europe could finally be free to do what is in their best interest instead of always following the dictate of the US. If things go the way they should based on what the US has put into play the US will find itself on the world stage with no one to trade with and no one to lend it money. Let's see how well they fair under those circumstances.

It is ridiculous to talk about the European allies of the USA. At least in continental Europe the USA doesn't have any friends or allies. They have vassals. The European politicians might not have the balls to say so, but the people know it. Most continental Europeans despise the USA.

It amazes me to hear that the US people are led to think that their opinion matters to Europeans - except for maybe the UK in general. They are about to realize how little it matters and how low they think of them. And, it will be tit for tat.

As for Iran, China opened a $10 billion line of credit intended to finance energy, transportation, water and other key Iranian infrastructure projects back in 2017. Iran now sells more to China than to any other country and celebrated a 25 percent increase in exports there last year. The value of Chinese exports to Iran also increased by more than 21 percent last year, according to Islamic Republic of Iran Customs Administration's statistics.
Russia, China and Iran are laying down the foundations for developments that will make the US irrelevant in its struggle to extend its unipolar moment. It remains to be seen what role the old European continent can play while still being shackled to the American strategy that is focused on isolating Russia, China and Iran, committed to advancing Washington's global hegemony at cost, even if it involves committing economic suicide, as can be seen in Ukraine with the sanctions against the Russian Federation. Russia-China-Iran are the strategic triangle that is changing the world

As long as the other signatories stay with the JCPOA then the US is irrelevant. Governments need to guarantee protection of businesses from US sanctions.
