Thanks for the video! I blew the inline printed fuse on one of these. needed to see two red wires ( the fused one to the + on the battery and the other to the positive side of the switch). I had CRS when it was time to put it back together. I couldn't find the printed fuse, so I soldered a fuse holder in its place. Thanks for showing the inside of that box.!

Just bought 2 of these at auction and they were returns to Home Depot, so open box type things. One of them said the air compressor was not working but all other features work. I am charging that one now. Other one was listed as "not working" and it appears that the plug for the DC charger is not seated properly; so loose that I cannot plug charger in. I was removed the screws on back as you indicated, and decided to go online to see if I could find video where someone shows to go about prying all of the rubber/plastic casing from the unit to get to the inside and fix the loose charging port. Voila!! I found your video. Thanks for the info about the tabs and screw. Will explore some more. Very nice.

Wow I have same Model I put a thin wire on & It immediately started working. Had same issue & inline fuse was blown I put a small in line fuse 3amp . Obviously the fuse protects as a power surge prevention thanks my friend I run tow business & use often

. Mine also has a good display but a bad battery. Looks like it uses a battery similar to my motorcycle.. Thanks for telling me how to open it.

You have more patients than I do. I bought this exact same one and it was broken right out of the box! When I got it, I took it home and followed the instructions to the T. Let it charge for 48 hours like the manual said. Went to put air in my RV trailer tires and the god d$#@ air pump wouldnt even kick on. After about 20 attempts I ended up taking a sledge hammer to it. I then took it back to Home Depot, told the lady what a crap product it was left it on the counter and walked out. Never again will I buy anything Dewalt!

🔴I have a Dewalt 1600amp jump starter, air compressor power station (dxaeps14). On my third time using the air compressor its not working. I would set the psi and press ‘air’ button for it to start, I would hear a long beep that last for about 4 seconds then the number 159.2 displayed on the screen but the compressor never turns on. i took it apart and connect the compressor directly to the battery and it works, so i know its not the compressor. what is your suggestion

Thanks for the video. The security guard at my job just gave me one of these because the internal battery is no longer holding a charge. Now I can search for a battery.

The fix for me was the small fuse that inline the small red wire coming from battery to control board

This product is made by another joint company I believe and just badged under dewalt so not the best quality out of these jump starters my battery failed after a month of use and can’t jumpstart anything the lead acid battery is not highest of quality.
