The big difference with many third places is that it requires money to buy something so you can sit down or go to the bathroom.

There’s the additional fourth place: publicly-funded places like libraries, parks, museums, and recreational centers. Those offer the opportunity for community while everyone is free to come and go, and you don’t need money upfront to participate.

I had never thought of this, as I watched your video I started thinking of my third places and I smiled. Thank you 😊

I also want to add party infrastructure can also be great third places. In past teen dance clubs, local pubs/bars, etc served as great forms of third places.
