So many cool concepts that were unfortunately canned. Even though JL Doom & Crisis on two Earths aren't canon to the Timmverse. I still consider them the soul successor to JLA. You can tell that they were originally gonna be a continuation until they were ultimately pegged as their own separate thing.

The JL Animated series we got was my gateway drug and the first thing I ever adored as a little kid. And it still is.

...You kinda missed how BIG Dwayne McDuffie's contribution was. Bruce Timm gets a lot of credit, but without McDuffie we wouldn't have had so many great story arcs.
Apart from writing some of the best stories, he also included Jon Stewart in the team and gave us the definitive interpretation of Jon Stewart.

Way before the MCU Avengers. The Justice League was King of the early 2000s animation era.

I miss the DCAU... back when DC wasn't afraid to be silly and lighthearted.

I would argue that without the DCAU doing the shared universe thing first, the MCU would not be able to thrive like it has been.

And Justice League was a fantastic culmination of everything that started with Batman The Animated Series.

The 90s and early to late 2000s had some of the best superhero cartoons in my opinion.

I think it goes without saying that the Justice League and Justice League Unlimited cartoons are obviously one of the BEST superhero cartoons that have existed at all. The characters and the story blended together to create that would shine brightest amongst a lot of other cartoons of the decade. And call me what you will, but I'm sucker for when a cartoon has an overarching story working behind the scenes in each and every episode of the series.

Easily, cartoons back in the 2000s were something to treasure.

Bruh, I can still hear the JL theme in my head. The DCAU is not only visually iconic, but it’s soundtracks like BTAS, STAS, JL, and JLU are one of the of the reasons I still hold fond memories of these shows. Whoever the composers were for these songs understood the characters and their specific musical themes.

The 90s and early 2000s was such great time to be a kid or teen back then. Back when the world was normal and Toonami and DBZ was taking over the world for the first time.

If you know, you know.

Fans: WB should study how this was written.
WB: Animation is different.
Fans: We are referring to the scripting and writing.
WB: What is writing?
MCU: Hey, let's copy the tone of the DCAU.

The Justice League animated series was my primary introduction to the wider DC universe outside of Batman, and was pretty much directly responsible for me reading and loving DC comics. I'm very glad that everything behind the scenes worked out to give us the series that we got.

This is my Justice league. Forever and ever. The theme song hit different gives it that omnipotent atmosphere for the JL and the characters were true from their comics. Everything was that good. I’m rewatching JL unlimited atm.

Only as I started the video I realized this wasn't the Watchtower Database.

The definitive JL to me. This show is why Wally West is my Flash, John Stewart my GL, why I like the pairing of Batman and Wonder Woman, etc. Love this show

My favorite animated show ever. The storyline was great, the characters were fantastic, and the stakes were always believable.

I was an adult when the show came out and I loved it. I didn't care about the Justice League comics, but loved both animated series.
