hey man love your mixing cheat sheet before I felt like I was just blindly sweeping frequencies looking for sweet spots and I feel like you gave me a little bit of reference as to where I should be looking and in some cases I was already in the right neighbourhood but in others I was way off, I redid my last mix using these as reference points and it really cleaned up my mix thanks a lot and keep the mixing tutorials coming

When mixing, should you leave the master track with no effects whatsoever if you plan to give it to an engineer?

Yeah, but why wouldn't someone be able to practice and improve both of those tasks if they practice both? Joey Sturgis does it, there are plenty of great examples

I believe this to be a rather poor false equivocation... to say someone who is a 10 at mixing can only be a 4 at mastering is a smug thing to say by a young punk who so far has spent "half" of his career being even more unknown and unproven...

Pompous claptrap!

That is like saying someone who is a 10 at playing piano is a 4 playing the drums...

Idiotic!
