What Are Sus Chords? | Beginner Guitar Tips

Sus chords (short for suspended) get their name from their "suspended" feeling, which is created by replacing the third of the chord with another note like a second or fourth. Since they don't have a major or minor third, sus chords sound very ambiguous. In this video, Nicholas Veinoglou explains what a sus chord is, how to create one, and how to use the unique color and texture of suspended chords in your own playing.
