Suspended Piano Chords 101 (Beginner Piano Lesson)

Want to add some bling or pizazz to your chords? Well then sus chords are for YOU! In my own playing and learning journey I found that I got bored very quickly after mastering the basic chords.

I wasn’t quite ready to move into inversions, but I wanted something to make things more interesting. Discovering how to play sus chords was a great way to add some “sparkle” without making things more complicated.

Lisa Witt... Thank you for removing the question marks in my mind regarding the "sus2/4 chord" structure. I have been thru the music theory guitar lessons for years, and not a single one of them explained the sus chords as you do in this tutorial. Apparently Keith Emerson soloed with sus chords and it became his signature chord. Lisa resolved it right away, but by not resolving it, you can carry that tension forward.
