CLIP DESCRIPTION:
Feeling down about the new living situation, Christopher (Jaden Smith) expresses his anger by badmouthing the Bone Density Scanner. Chris (Will Smith) turns his frown upside down by pretending it's a time machine and creates a world of imaginary dinosaurs for Christopher to play in.

FILM DESCRIPTION:
The rousing, true-life story of a single dad who went from living on the streets to owning his own brokerage firm is brought to the big screen by superstar Will Smith, appearing for the first time opposite his real-life son Jaden Smith. He struggles to work his way from unpaid intern at Dean Witter to something more substantial, even as life continues to offer him setbacks. Making his Hollywood debut, Italian director Gabriele Muccino was championed by Will Smith for the project.

It's so crazy to think he started off only in comedies! One of his best acting moments in any of his movies.

i respect him even more for trying to be a good father than his success in career, life is hard, it's even harder to keep doing the right thing and give your child a happy childhood memory

This was my son and me just 6 years ago...I can't watch this clip...Now I'm a Front-End Developer for a major theatre chain after teaching myself to code. I couldn't afford school so I taught myself. And now life is good. I'm in the process of starting my own Digital Marketing company named after my kids. They Inspired me as well as this movie. I truly believe that Struggle is Privilege..

this perfectly illustrates the emotive nature of the experience of poverty, and the facade the father creates to convince his son into sleeping inside a toilet..heartbreaking.

It was clever of Chris to use creativity and his imagination to shield his son from the hardship they were in.

This f*ckin' scene hit me so hard back when I saw it first time and now that I have a son it hit me even harder seeing it again. Mother is a Son's nurturer and support, but a Father will always be his teacher and protector. Beautiful and sad scene at the same time.

Will Smith on the verge of crying is probably the best acting you could ask for. He does it the same way in I am legend with the dog scene.

I think about this scene so much-his quick parenting to make his son feel better and using it to creatively ease Chris into sleeping without a bed all while suffering the lowest in what was already such a hard time for him makes me bawl every time

I first saw this movie at 2007 and 13 years old at that time. My high school teachers agreed to show to my classroom this movie, So as we started watching it, I realized how much struggle my parents had at that time, working overshifts etc to feed me and my sister. I was about to shed some tears during the movie but I held them back cause I was in public(....) Now at 26 years old and having a 3 year old daughter, me and my boyfriend we know exactly that this scene hits home. Being almost at the bottom, can get you back at the top if you really got a motive for your child. Always protect and love your child.

When you hit rock bottom, when you've lost everything, when you're at your lowest, when there is nothing left,
the only thing left to do is move forward. You can't go lower than your lowest point. Move forward, pick yourself up, because the only moment you should give up and stop trying is after your last breath.

I’m a dad of two and I’m very SCARE. I walk outside with a smile because I’m truth I’m in pain but I’m always trying my best even if I don’t eat.

I wouldn't wish homelessness on ANYONE and I mean that. The fact that they had nowhere to lay their heads at is so painful. I was a homeless child at one point, so I know what it's like, and my mother made sure we were never in that predicament again.

This is one of the most powerful scenes in any movie I have ever seen .. I remember seeing this when I was 6 and It had been my favorite movie for the longest time. I never understood /this/ scene in specfic as much as now. I mean, I knew what was going on, but I didn't have much thought about it. As I watch it being older ... It really gets me and I can really connect to this in many ways.
