What’s happening in this movie clip?
After spending the night in jail, Christ (Will Smith) goes directly to his job interview. Despite his non-professional appearance, he impresses the interviewers.

What’s the movie about?
Christ Gardner (Will Smith) loses his life’s earnings. His wife leaves him and he is left with the custody of his son. To get back on his feet, he begins a life-changing professional career.

The "nice pants" line is actually secretly genius because
1. Memorable and funny (standing out among the applicants is crucial)
2. It shows his ability to think outside the box instead of focusing on the problem (the shirt)

I once quit my great paying job and drove cross-country to hand-deliver my resume for a job I really wanted. I was scheduled for an interview with a panel of 7 executives within two days. One of the many questions they asked me was, "how would you feel if you didn't get the job". I said, "I'd be fine because I know I did everything in my power to get it so I don't have an excuse that I didn't try hard enough". One of the last questioned they asked me was, "where do you see yourself in 5-years", I said, "celebrating the 5-year anniversary of you asking me that question", they all laughed. Yes, I did get the job.

I used to watch this movie all the time with my dad. I didn’t realize that he saw himself in this movie. A man struggling to provide a life for his son in a world where it’s tough. I miss my father everyday and this movie reminds me of him so much
