RK3066 WiFi Issues

The WiFi USB dongle that I tried worked OK - but power draw was high and max speed was about 6mbps. The internal WiFi 'magically' started working, so I'm using that rather than the USB dongle.

I'm using Finless 1.7 ROM now and, overall, the RK3066 MiniPC is working great for me. I mostly use it for emulators and general browsing.

The USB 10/100 adapter turned out to be a dud... maxed out around 6mbps. I flashed a custom ROM onto the RK3066 (Finless 1.7 for the MK808B) and it's working great... WiFi is working fine now, as long as it's in close proximity to my router.. Range for both WiFi and Bluetooth seem to be hardware limitations at this point due to the antenna design..

I did get a USB WiFI adapter to work. Unfortunately, most USB WiFi adapters seem to max out around 6mps.. which makes them pretty inadequate if you want to stream 1080p content. I also had problems with power draw. I basically couldn't use my USB-powered hub with the USB WiFi adapter - I had to plug the adapter directly into the USB power.

Would you please tell me your WiFi dongle type <and how to enable it.I'm using my Uhost2 for the same thing. Emulators, VEVO, BBC iPlayer and for Android developing.

Have you considered hooking a USB wireless adapter. How many USB ports you have on the device. Maybe you will have to plug a USB HUB and then mouse and WIFI adapter. Maybe that could work.

Eventually, my device just 'magically' started working. Subsequently, though, I switched to Finless 1.7 and have had great success. WiFi range is still quite poor, but I can get ~ 18-20 mbps with the device without a foot or so of my WiFi router..

If we plug the rk3066 into our projector, the wifi doesn't work - a message tells us to press the wps button on our router, which does nothing. If we plug it into our Panasonic HD TV, all we get is a blank screen with a small section of scrambled screen.

I have the same issue with my Nextway F9 tablet (RK3066).
Did you solve the issue?

I have the same problem with Uhost 2 from Smallart with RK3066, which appeared before few weeks ago, tried to restore older ROM versions and using external WiFi USB dongle without any result :(

I already ordered a USB 10/100 adapter... It's just not here yet. I'm tries every combination of devices (or no devices) connected to resolve... Nothing has helped. I sent this video to the manufacturer too..

Until I get the LAN adapter (or if the manufacturer decides to send me a replacement), I'm kind of dead in the water...
