The bunch of Rockchip RK3066/RK2908 HDMI Sticks

Here's a discussion with Rockchip's TV Division Sales Manager demonstrating the range of different styles for HDMI Sticks based on the Rockchip RK3066 Dual-core ARM Cortex-A9 and RK2908 single core ARM Cortex-A8 processors.

My guess is the Android firmware is modified to hardware accelerate mirroring. So it's not just an app to run on top of any Android with good performance. They communicate over wifi direct, bluetooth, over wifi hotspot or anything.

How is this mirroring working? Are they using a second device on the flar screen? How do they communicate?
