i think its nice how manufacturers are making bikes you can use for both off-road and motocross. Great video on the WR 450. I am a double amputee riding a YFZ 450 quad, I wish yamaha would make something for the quad to adjust the mapping to elimenate the lean fuel/air mixture instead of having to buy aftermarket devices.

Rode a stock 2017 WR450F in Johnson Valley and was hands down the most fun I've had on a dirtbike off road. Perfect suspension for grinding out sandy woop sections and still very stable and plush. Gearing was perfect out there. Bike really inspires confidence even to a novice rider.

I come from a motocross background and brought one of these about 2 months ago. And what a bike it is! I love it! But some of the things youve said i agree 100 percent. When i took it on the track the suspension kept bottoming so it took a good while to get the suspension working stiffer, the way it goes round corners is a dream you just feel planted all the way round! As for the engine it does have a bog where the bottom end should be it actually feels more like a fast 250. But im not sure if i prefer the mellow power because it gives me confidence to just thrape shit out of it and i end up taking seconds off my lap times... overall id recommend this bike to any one! Great bike
