What a smart way to get me to watch all his videos. I started with the SDK video, it led me to the API video, and now the API video has led me here.

This is why standards are *GOOD* . If every sound card, video card, network card, or hard drive had at least one standard interface protocol, you would only need one good driver for each. Then companies can write add-ons to these drivers for features of their products, and if the add-on has problems, the system will default to the standard driver. Features will go unused, but your system will still be able to use the basic operations of the device without crashing.
