Joseph, so sorry to hear about the water damage... I've been there and done that. Check out Champion Cleaning Systems. They do great work. They were a customer of mine for many years and have helped me in the past. Great bunch of folks. One key is to keep the air moving in the wet and damp areas.

I've been thinking about you and your situation since the last upload. It's so frustrating to see a guy that works so hard have to deal with this extra burden. When you collect something it almost becomes a part of you and it's terrible when something like this happens. Looks like you did a good job preparing for the possibility of getting some water and not too much damage. Hopefully this video helps at least one person get their stuff off the floor.

We had a house fire in 2010 and had to watch as they removed our children’s toys, in the clear up. It was heart breaking. My thoughts are with you.
now we have a massive Lego collection and running out of space!

Sorry to hear about the water damage. Glad there wasn't too much value destroyed. Smart idea to use plastic containers and put cardboard up from the ground.

Glad to hear that not to much got ruined. I thought I was ok with my stuff in the Attic but when it rains hard the roof leaks a bit but luckily not to bad and I moved things around + the Sun can mess up boxes and yellow LEGO parts. I just try and cover most things up + cool tips to ;)

Really happy that we live on the 17th floor after watching this. First time since I was subscribed that I was not jealous that I did not have a basement

Bricktsar, get a big dehumidifier and some fans, as that water will grow alot of mold, the basement will never dry out in time. Those ice maker lines all eventually fail unless they are on a real connection and not those flimsy puncture lines. I have 2 dehumidifiers running in my basement and never have any basement smells of mold or dampness, its woth it to preserve your collection

Glad to hear it’s not *too* bad. Still a pain to deal with though! 😕

Thank god you had those P boxes with your inventoried sets on boards. _I_ would have been mad if they had been damaged, there's a lot of valuable stuff in them. Hopefully some of the less damaged stuff dries out and is salvageable. Hopefully nothing bad like this happens again! Will definitely keep my stuff elevated once I'm older and not living with my mum.

When Houston flooded last year, it flooded the whole neighborhood but didn’t get into anyone’s house. Thankfully. Scary stuff. Sorry this happened to you.

I have my legos in my attic that is like right next to my room. So I should be good from leaks because my attic has foam insulation in it.
