Couldn't agree more on GWPs being available as purchasable sets instead of locked behind a big buy paywall. Make it a $20 set (OK, Lego, $25) and it would be an instant hit. For those who don't have dedicated Lego rooms, smaller builds are always welcome.

Agree with you on the x mansion, it’s hard to get the balance between detail and cost but it does have a lot of cut corners.

Endourance is the only one on this list that peaks my interest. Hope its as high quality as the Titanic set!

I would definitely buy the bookshelves set on its own. Love the botanical set but I just got the friends set as a gift and agree the cost of the botanical set seems very high by comparison. Bricklink sets are cute! Endurance would be an interesting set.

Passing on all of these. The only one I was even slightly interested in was the Endurance, and that was before I found out it was midi scale.

Mmmm i liked the original idea of the botanical garden better. That was higher like an old victorian glass house and full of plants. Now hardly anything growing plants inside. The terrace is a nice idea to include

I'll probably get the botanical gardens at some point, but I think I'll wait for a discount of some sort. The bookcase GWP looks awesome.

Sad that the bookcase is planned to be a GWP.... i totally agree with you about getting more small affordable sets to be bought instead of GWP.

That news about the Endurance and the James Caird has me thrilled on the other hand... depending on the end result, i'm quite sure it'll be a day one buy for me!

Agree with you on the X-Mansion especially the sentinel looking cheap. Sentinel almost looks like a big duplo set. Lol Mansion is almost 1, 000 pieces fewer than the very similar, more detailed, and lower cost, museum modular.

00:13 ahh man for a minute there I thought you were implying they were doing a V for Vendetta set! 😂 When the parliament set came out a while back I did think about getting it just to MOC it to make it look like it was being blown to smithereens with a custom V minifigure stood outside it! 😂

Not only is the X-Mansion short, it’s narrow. They could have addressed one of those issues in my opinion. I like the books are my passion GWP but I liked the original submission more. The submission had the little lamps on the side of the shelves, a better globe and a nicer minifig. I would like to see some of the cute GWP for sale instead but it would defeat their purpose of getting us to buy LEGO at full price, from them, and at a time of their choosing. I daresay soon we are going to have a 5000-7000 piece set from Panlos to the X-mansion, so you can buy the Lego set for the figures. But the Panlos sets like the Avengers tower is so good.

I was not surprised that Lego would do a cash grab for the x-mansion (which is way too small and loads of stickers), but the botanical garden is also vastly overpriced. Just to add my son has a Spider-Man figure bought at a charity shop years ago that has almost exactly the same legs, body and arms as that sentinel 😂

A lot of my concerns with the X-Mansion echo yours. When I saw the Natural History Museum I was so excited about the potential for this set. But what we got was something smaller, with less bricks, more expensive and less attention to detail on the exterior. While I am pleased with the rooms they included for the interior, they needed to be bigger (especially the Danger room). And you are one of the few reviewers that agree with me that the Sentinel looks good but not great. I wish the designers used that part of the budget on a) making the mansion bigger and b) a few more mini-figs. Or at least different ones…swap in Jubilee and Angel and Colossus and Nightcrawler and swap out Bishop and Iceman (until they can get him looking better).
When I first heard this set announced I thought it was a must buy…but at the price and size and the mini-figs…I am on the fence (also the mansion needed a fence ;)
