Latest on Wink Martindale, + HUGE Commit Coming Soon? Transfer Portal News, and More!!

In this video I go over the latest on Michigan DC Wink Martindale as he is set to interview with a couple NFL teams and could potentially leave Michigan if he gets an offer he can't refuse. I go over what Michigan will need to do to keep him, plus I go over a couple options Michigan could go toward if Martindale does leave for the NFL. I also go over some transfer portal news for Michigan as the Wolverines are losing another offensive lineman but could be adding one from the portal as I give the latest on Michigan's remaining transfer portal targets including two new WR's Michigan could pursue. If Wink leaves I think we should get someone who actually wants to coach in college. This coordinator turnover almost every year is not sustainable and probably bad for recruiting

Wink is an amazing DC and I’m hoping Sherrone Moore will get him to stay we definitely need him. Hope we can land some portal targets and Haywood. Great update and GO BLUE!!!〽️〽️〽️

There was an interesting comment Wink made with Moore during an interview with Pat McAfee at the beginning of the season. Wink was asked about the adjustment to college coaching and Wink not necessarily trying to be negative said he was surprised how young these players are possibly noticing their lack of maturity. Wink followed this with noting that some players were mature and was greatful. This might have been a tough adjustment for the OG. Michigan was a little rusty on defense which seemed apparent against Keene and Fresno State. Eventually obviously Wink got things rolling after the Washington game or later. I think Wink would have the team better prepared next season from the get go.

Colts interviewed him for the HC job a few years ago, and interviewed him the day you released this video so it comes down to Colts or Atlanta.

If Michigan wants to get crazy I see Vic fangio is the highest paid defensive coordinator in the nfl at 4 million . I can’t see any nfl team giving wink that kind of money so let’s say Michigan gives him an offer of 3 million . That be right around what I think the nfl would offer him. I bet wink would stay if Michigan just matched whatever the nfl offers

With Persi entering the portal, I can see that as a good sign for us to land Pete.
But in this transfer portal game, you just never know until its pen to paper. In the end, I’m sure it’ll all work out just fine.
