Hey, Erich! Aside from your awesome singing in this video, I wanted to send you a top compliment!

I’m sure that, during the Pandemic, you heard about people with depression/anxiety issues as a result of the shutdown. Well, I was one of those people. During this time, I found and first watched (via Netflix) Jersey Boys. Not only did I go to bed that night happy and exuberant because of the film, but I watched the film several times during the pandemic; It didn’t pull me out of my depression, but it helped make the pandemic (from my end of the world) more manageable.

As if that wasn’t enough, I also discovered and binge watched (again, via Netflix) Madam Secretary. My mom had already seen the series with my dad when he was still alive; when I saw you were on the show, I showed her a clip of you In Jersey Boys just so she could understand one of the reasons why I was excited to see this series. The joke I would sometimes say to her was, “I don’t know how Erich Bergen managed to write and compose three top singles for the Four Seasons while simultaneously holding the busy job of Executive Assistant to the Secretary of State.” (All kidding aside, you were great in this show; the series, and knowing you were in it, helped to lift my spirits during the Pandemic.)

So, in conclusion, there are two questions I wanna pose to you:

1) I was hoping to get your autograph, but I know well enough not to give my mailing address away on a YouTube comment. Where can I email you my mailing address?

2) If you’re still in touch with John Lloyd Young, Vincent Piazza, and Michael Lomanda, would it be possible for you to show them what I said about Jersey Boys? I know I’m asking a lot with this second request (life happens, and you loose touch with people), but if you’re still in touch with these guys, please show them my compliment. Please let them know how this film (and the four of you) lifted my spirits during a very difficult time.)
