I used to complain that most pieces like this just don't really work well on guitar, or something is missing when you try to arrange it for the guitar, but then I started hearing these performances and it's just completely changed my idea of what is possible on a guitar. That sounds like Bach, it doesn't sound like some watered down approximation.

I remember learning a version of this as a young student out of a "Fingerpicking Bach" book that was available at the time. Of course, Dr. Emre's version is lush and a fully realized arrangement featuring tasteful ornamentaion and moving counterpoint. Very challenging piece, but worth the effort.

Definitely the finest guitar arrangements and the most accurate transcriptions available out there!!
